Retreat review by Tina Inserra:
Waking up to the sound of rainforest birds instead of my noisy alarm
clock was a welcome relief and so was sleeping in (getting up at 6.30am
instead of 5.30am) That's what I call a holiday! It was the ideal
place to do practice but it was hard to concentrate on your dristi
when all you could see is beautiful rainforest view in every direction.
After practice we might go for a swim with the resident turtle and
fish in the lovely Blue Hole (a waterhole which was actually blue)
or spend the day down at the beach swimming and lying in the sun.
On a couple of evenings we did meditation, which included some breathing
practice, chanting and even singing. It was also great opportunity
to have a chat and get to know the people I share my mornings with
at practice in the city and also to ask questions about my practice
and listen to others about their experience.
