retreat reviews (continued)
On the evenings that we didn't do meditation you
might have found us hanging out at the Daintree River Ice Cream Company
which has very yummy ice cream flavours, all natural tropical flavours
like wattle seed, mango, coconut, sour sop Deeelciousssss!!! but one
of the biggest highlights for me was the rainforest walk at Coopers
Creek, which Karyn had organised as part of the retreat. It was so
fantastic and so was our guide Prue who had so much knowledge about
everything. While we were on the walk we saw a beautiful cassowary
and her chick amongst all the other amazing things that make up the
rainforest. *****I am giving it five stars. Perfect!
Dominque Ng:
'The Daintree Forest was a special backdrop for our mid winter retreat.
Premashanti is surrounded by this pristine landscape.
Each morning, emerging out of the nighttime quiet, we would practice
to a forest symphony of birds. Being able to identify them, as the
days progressed.
From the elevated practice room it felt like we were practicing amongst
the forest.
We would breakfast together on the deep verandah after practice followed
by a dip at the blue hole, a short walk through the forest to an aquamarine
pool apparently blue from minerals, beautiful on the skin.
